What's happening at convent

Athletics season

Athletics season is upon us, and the Dominican Convent, in its second year of the sport, is working hard in becoming a force to reckon with. The value that athletics has brought to the school cannot be overlooked, as it is teaching discipline and commitment amongst the girls, improving their physical and mental health, as well as developing their social life. The participation in this sport by the students has enhanced their bonding experiences, as they continue to learn to work as a team, boosting their confidence, character and team spirit. As Convent, we believe that this sport will offer our students wonderful life-changing opportunities, some of which may include scholarships to international universities.

Since the beginning of this term, our athletics team has actively participated in different inter-schools Cross Country. The girls went to Watershed, Arundel and Lomagundi. Although they were in the bottom three in all the events, we are proud of them for their dedication, determination and participation. The team is set to participate in District, Provincial and National Competitions this term, and we wish our girls all the best!!
