Our Volleyball team played Peterhouse Girls on the 11th of October. Herewith the results:

Convent won 2 – 0

U15

Convent won 2 – 0

Convent lost 1 – 2

The Tennis team played Watershed on Saturday the 12th of October. The results are as follows:

U14 Convent won 10:2

BRIDGE

Bridge ladies played Peterhouse Boys and Girls on the 17th of September at Convent. The Seniors won both matches, whilst the Juniors only played Peterhouse Girls and they also won.

'MaHeavy' played Arundel on the 11th of October.

Under 14s lost 16 - 3

Convent Swimming Sensations

Three of our girls participated at the Mutare National Swimming Sprint Gala from the 18th to the 19th of October 2019. They raised the Convent flag high with their outstanding swimming, receiving medals for the different strokes they took part in:

Tawana Chagaresango (13-15 years)

Achieved Personal Best times in Breaststroke and Freestyle.

Nyasha Chinyani (15 years and above)

Gold Medal – 200m Individual Medley

Silver Medal – 100m Breaststroke

Silver Medal – 50m Breaststroke

Shammah Razunguzwa (15 years and above)

Silver Medal – 100m Freestyle

Bronze Medal – 50m Butterfly

Bronze Medal – 50m Backstroke

Bronze Medal – 100m Butterfly

Our Tennis Star: Zvikomborero Mtutu

At only thirteen years old, Zvikomborero Mtutu has become a force to reckon with in the field of tennis. She has represented Zimbabwe in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) /CAT African Junior Circuit as well as the South Central Circuit Zim Leg innumerable times. She has also played inter-provincial tennis, representing Harare Province in various tournaments. She is set to represent Zimbabwe in upcoming ITF Junior tennis tournaments to be held in South Africa and Mauritius at the end of the year. Zvikomborero is currently ranked 17th in Africa. The Dominican Convent is extremely proud of one of its own. Well done Zvikomborero!
