Convent Ladies Shine at World Wetlands Day Commemoration

On Friday, 6 February, our Wildlife ladies proudly represented the Convent at the World Wetlands Day Commemoration held at Haka Game Park.

The day was both educational and impactful, as the ladies actively participated in meaningful environmental initiatives. They took part in tree planting activities, contributing directly to conservation efforts, and enjoyed an informative tour of the game park, deepening their understanding of biodiversity and ecosystem protection.

A special highlight of the event was the media recognition our ladies received. Christlyn Ndlovu and Lyn Manhanga were interviewed by ZBC and featured on the 8pm news that same evening. They represented the Convent with confidence, intelligence, and grace, showcasing not only their knowledge of environmental issues but also the strength of our culture of study and leadership.

We are incredibly proud of our ladies for stepping forward as young environmental ambassadors and for demonstrating that at the Convent, learning goes beyond the classroom — it becomes action.
