Golden Moves and Dominican Spirit: Ladies Triumph at Chess Provincials

On Saturday, 23 May, the Dominican Convent chess ladies participated in the prestigious Crystal Candy Provincial Qualifiers, competing against schools from across the province for the honour of representing Harare at national level.

The Junior Ladies team fought hard throughout the tournament and secured an admirable 10th place finish, gaining valuable experience and showcasing great determination against strong competition.

 The Senior Ladies team delivered a spectacular performance, claiming 1st place overall and bringing home gold medals together with the championship trophy. Their focus, resilience, and tactical brilliance saw them rise above the competition and earn the title of Provincial Champions. 🏆♟️

 Following this incredible achievement, the Senior Ladies team has officially qualified for the Crystal Candy National Championships to be held in Mutare, where they will proudly represent Harare on the national stage.
