Allied Arts Speech and Drama Festival 2026

We are delighted to share that Dominican Convent High School was recognised at the Allied Arts Speech & Drama Honours Concert. Out of 145 participating schools, only 14 received honours, and we are proud to be among them.

Our school was awarded two prestigious trophies:

• The Caritas Cup for Best Senior Poetry Item – Mukundi Sigauke, for her solo poetry performance of Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll.
• The Ann Warr Newsreading Trophy for Best News Reading Item – Diane Mlambo, for her solo TV news reading performance, The Daily Disaster.

Both award-winning performances were also selected for the Final Allied Arts Concert, held on Saturday, 11 July 2026, at HIS.

This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the dedication, talent and hard work of our performers and their coaches. Congratulations to Mukundi and Diane on this outstanding accomplishment. We are incredibly proud of you.
