DC Delegates Take Centre Stage at St John’s MUN
From 10 to 12 September, the school’s Model United Nations (MUN) Society participated in the SJCMUN Conference, hosted by St John’s College. The conference was held under the theme, “The Weight of Precedent: Reconciling Historical Injustices with the Imperatives of Sustainable Development. ”Throughout the conference, delegates engaged in thought-provoking discussions on pressing global issues, including historical atrocities, industrialisation and the use of child soldiers. The sessions were characterised by vigorous debate, intense competition and a strong exchange of ideas. Our delegates represented the school with confidence and commitment, demonstrating excellent research, diplomacy and public-speaking skills throughout the conference. A notable achievement was recorded by Matifadza Chiwara, who was awarded Best Position Paper in GA2-1, an impressive recognition of her preparation and understanding of the issues under discussion. The school congratulates all the MUN delegates for their outstanding participation and for representing the school with distinction.
